THE VOICE OF THE HEART - BIBLE STUDY

How did we drift to a place where how God made us (feeling, needing, desiring, longing, hoping beings) would be the very part of us we attempt to overcome to mature in Christ? When did feelings become the enemy of spiritual maturity? No wonder for so many of us, "doing the Christian life" is an exercise in "doing." No wonder what we call being in relationship with God sometimes feels like eating shredded wheat with no milk. We're attempting to do relationships with our heads, cut off from the voice of our hearts. We end up living life alone, trapped in the prison of our own intellect, morality, and self-will. Despite being hard-wired for intimate relationships, our fear and shame keep us detached from our hearts and therefore detached from the ones we love. We learn to cope with life by utilizing any form of escape. This is not living -- this is barely surviving. The Voice of the Heart Bible Study is for anyone who wants more. Dig deeper into Scripture and your own story individually, in a group setting, or with a friend. No matter your situation, this study will guide you, one step at a time, on the journey home: home to the God who made you, home to the gifts He gave you, home to your family, home to your passion, and home to your calling.

Hard Wired For Connection

We were made to live and thrive in relationships. With a loving God and with others, we discover true relationships by telling the truth about our true self and realizing we are still loved. Love is expressed in our neediness and in meeting the needs of others.

Hitting “The Wall”

Tin Man founder, Jeff Schulte, and coach, Todd Wermers, join a webinar for pastors and leaders sponsored by ChristTogether.org. Schulte and Wermers share from their experiences as pastors who hit "the wall" and learned that they had to become inwardly aware to become outwardly focused. Maybe you, too, have hit the "wall" or you simply see it rapidly approaching. Schulte and Wermers will give you ideas and encouragement to find the hope that comes as you rediscover your heart and start forming healthy relationships.
